Time to Talk about our Mental Health
Date: Thursday 5 February 2015
Venue: Deepings Community Centre
Time: 6.30pm – 8.00pm
Fee: Free of Charge
Refreshments: Donation for tea and coffee.
As part of my continuing support of raising awareness of our mental health I have committed to organising a community event. The national time to talk event organised by the charity Mind, I have committed to contribute five minutes of talking about our mental health.
The charity have sent me a number of pens, badges and postcards to help prompt a conversation which are all free to anyone attending.
Having experienced stress, anxiety and depression in my early twenties which effected my physical and mental health and then experiencing the sudden death of my father, I made some very big changes in my life to help me live the life I want, with the health and happiness I want. I now share this through belifehappy.
I am happy to talk to anyone who is or knows someone who is experiencing or being treated for stress, anxiety and or depression. It’s OK to find time to talk and it’s OK to find strength and confidence in knowing 1 in 4 will experience some form of mental illness at some stage of their life.
Please join me on Thursday evening 5 February for time to talk between 6.30pm and 8.00pm. It is an informal drop in and pick up any information and please feel happy to send me a message if you are coming. Please also share this post on facebook, twitter or LinkedIn for any of your friends, family or work friends who would like to pop down.
Many thanks and see you next Thursday.
